History of The Company
WLF Productions, Inc. is one of Washington, D.C.'s premiere entertainment
production companies specializing in R&B, Blues, Zydeco, Country and
Doo Wop shows. The company brings preeminent family oriented shows to
Washington, D.C., Maryland, Virginia and Pennsylvania. WLF Productions'
shows feature some of the music industry's top talent and attracts fans from
as far away as Florida.
Since 1988 WLF Productions has proven to be a leader in packaging and
promoting large-scale concerts. Previous shows include The Sounds of
Doo Wop (I-IX), The Divas of Doo Wop, Blues Day 2000 and The
Reunion of the Rock & Roll Hall of Famers. Not only do the concerts attract
large crowds but the musical talent also includes some of the biggest names in
the business, such as; Doo Wop legends, Charlie Thomas & The Drifters,
The Five Keys, Eugene Pitt & The Jive Five, Lenny Cocco & The Chimes,
The Clovers, The Streethearts, Rudy McPhatter & The Dominoes and
Kimmy & Klasse'.
The talent behind the scenes is just as strong as that on stage. WLF Productions
CEO, Wilber Fletcher was named a finalist for the 2004 Entertainment Producer
of the Year award sponsored by Event Solutions Magazine. The award is given
to an individual or company whose creation of original entertainment has made
a significant impact on the industry. Fletcher competed against three other
promoters from Florida, San Francisco and San Diego, California.
WLF Productions is also a class act in the community. The company takes pride in
giving back, by donating a percentage of its proceeds to non-profit organizations
and paying tribute to artists and disc jockeys who keep the music of yesterday
alive. WLF Productions has an ongoing relationship with Maryland Public Television
and the Rosa Pryor Music Scholarship Fund. The company is a professional
organization that demands the best, not only from its productions but also equally
from its artists.
